The subscriber names their recipe and enters each ingredient, before submitting the recipe to the RIMS team for nutritional mapping. Once mapped the recipe can be released for use. Our integrated ingredient communicator makes signing off any recipe as easy as pie. Recipes like stocks and sauces can be added as an ingredient to other recipes. Adding each recipe and the ingredient used opens up a wealth of options. RIMS® provides an unprecedented level of flexibility with real-time nutritional reporting for whatever a user wishes to create. Simply create new recipes, courses or groups. Set lifestyle food group or allergens exclusions for any groups you create and RIMS makes sure you can’t go wrong. Just drag and drop your ingredients to make new recipes or move recipes to groups to make up courses for the whole day if you wish and view the calories and all nutritional information required.
Amber subscribers can take complete control over the supply chain by simply dragging and dropping groups or meal courses into the food order screen. Entering the number of servings required for each item generates the food orders. The total purchase costs are calculated with the option to drill down to the cost of each meal or ingredient if required. The purchase orders for each supplier can also be cross-referenced with your stackable items before confirming, printing or sending your PO’s electronically.
Red subscribers enjoy the benefits of their own online shop with the choice of three levels of nutritional reports to displayed to their customers. Allergens contained, macros and even the exact calories that will be consumed by each person being sent to the customer on confirmation of any order. Despatched orders are fed directly back to the customer and access to recipes ensure continuity with taste and nutritional values while optimising chef’s time and the waiting time of the customer keeping everyone informed as the process progresses.

Nutritional Analysis
The NS® Administration module has multilevel staff logins with complete audit trails allowing Nutrisolve Ltd to train staff in-house and sign off each ingredient after it is mapped. This system will also track staffs performance and allows certain staff members to work remotely as required with full accuracy and performance measures in place. As each analyst completes an ingredient it is submitted it to a senior team member who then checks it, before releasing it to the client for recipe submission. This interface allows rapid growth and will also allow the company to provide services and support into the USA and other English Speaking countries without limitations.

The Conclusion
The Inevitable
Regardless of the inevitable increase in pressure that will be applied to food producers as a whole, the consumer will continue to demand more information about what they eat. Calories are the by-product of the ingredients, and the quantity of them we consume. It is likely that the government will make exemptions for the smaller food producers based on the costs involved for them to comply. The safety of food is vital to all consumers and food businesses. Consumers must have confidence that the food they buy and eat will be what they expect, will do them no harm, and that the calories stated are what they are actually consuming.
Fatal Reactions
Restaurants and takeaways and any other business that produces and sells foods across Europe are required by law to tell customers if their food contains ingredients known to trigger allergies. Thousands of people need treatment in hospital for severe allergic reactions each year in the UK. It is estimated that as many as 200 to 250 people die in the UK each year from food-allergic reactions. Experts say the majority of these deaths and visits to the hospital are avoidable, and some are a result of people being given incorrect information about ingredients. Under current legislation (EU FIC Food Information for Consumers Regulation), customers must be told if their food contains any of the 14 allergens
The food industry has a higher turnover of staff than any other in the UK. Keeping them up to date is one thing, keeping track of the ingredients a supplier may substitute or a manufacturer may change is another.
The Reality
To date, only a small fraction of food producers can afford to keep track of the nutritional values of the products they produce in this ever-changing industry, The majority need the flexibility to innovate and exploit the many permutations of the dishes they serve and the ingredients they use. A RIMS® subscription provides all of this while optimising the businesses operational logistics and allowing all nutritional monitoring and reporting to be taken for granted. Key to this is the system and service provided by the RIMS® support team. The processes we have in place ensure that each ingredient is nutritionally mapped and checked prior to the release for its use within any of their recipes. This helps to ensure that allergens and group exclusions are always obeyed and reported on.
